Jason Fithian

I am fifth year photojournalism student at San Jose State University.

Hi - I'm JASON, Jason Fithian and I enjoy photography, hence the website name, www.FithiansPhotos.com. I've had this website for over four years now, putting photos up on the web for others to see.

Currently, I am in my fifth year and final semester at San Jose State University, majoring in Photojournalism and minor in American Studies. I just came back from studying abroad in Brisbane, Australia at Queensland University of Technology.

The experience abroad was amazing and the blog served as a place for me to keep in contact with friends and family, but also document my experiences abroad.

Currently I'm back in housing, working as an Assistant Residential Life Coordinator in Campus Village, Building B. I'm excited about the position as it is challenging me and preparing me for a future career in Higher Education, Student Affairs.

Before I left for Australia, I was highly involved on campus. It was quite hard for me to let go of my various positions, but I did it. It was my 3rd year as a Resident Advisor, in the brand new Campus Village and I was the director of Governing Affairs for Associated Students, and the chair of our student lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender organization, QTIP, which is an acronym for Queers Thoughtfully Interupting Prejudice.

I enjoy technology and this whole new form of communicating; blogging.

I love dancing, listening to music, watching indie movies, and enjoy a good conversation.

I laugh like a hyena. I can be serious, sometimes ditzy. I am open-minded. I like to sing, listen to my two favorite genres of music - jazz and pop.

I have a postive outlook on life and enjoying the journey.
